About Anchor Point
Anchor Point is Morocco’s most famous wave: a long right-hand point north of Taghazout that can peel for several hundred metres on a solid north-west swell. It is a wave for experienced surfers.
Safety tips
Entry and exit are over rocks, the current is strong on big days and the line-up is crowded. Only for confident surfers.

Is Anchor Point good for beginners?
No. Anchor Point is for experienced surfers only. Beginners learn at Devil’s Rock and Banana Beach.
What are the best conditions at Anchor Point?
Waves of about 1.8 to 3.5 m, a north-west swell and a light offshore wind from the east or north-east. Our coaches check the conditions every morning.
When is the best season to surf Anchor Point?
From October to March, when the north-west swells arrive. In summer it is often too small.
How do I get to Anchor Point?
Anchor Point is a short drive from our camp in Tamraght. With our surf packages, daily transport to the best spot of the day is included.
